A Technical Implementation Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of technology solutions within an organization. They work closely with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Their responsibilities include defining project requirements, managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth integration of new systems. They also serve as the main point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

How does a technical implementation project manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a project?

A Technical Implementation Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, such as software developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and client representatives, to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and technical solutions align with client needs. Effective communication and stakeholder management are key, as the role often involves translating technical details for non-technical team members and vice versa. At Nedap Retail, we're redefining the retail experience with our cutting-edge iD Cloud platform. Partnering with global brands like Abercrombie and Puma, we empower retailers to achieve perfect inventory visibility and deliver exceptional shopping experiences. As a global leader in RFID technology, our mission is simple: perfect inventory visibility, no waste, no losses.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Implementation Manager to join the Customer Engagement team and foster strong customer development.
As an Implementation Manager you will play a key role in implementing some of the world's most iconic retail brands, ensuring a successful start during the most impactful first months of a pilot or new business deal.
In this role, you act as a strategic liaison between Nedap and our clients, ensuring smooth execution and delivery of deployment projects. You are responsible for maintaining continuity, efficiency, and clarity from project initiation through to completion, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and high client satisfaction.
What you'll do:
  • Lead Project Execution and Delivery: Manage end-to-end deployment activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and align with business goals. Act as internal liaison with key partners to set up timely sessions and collaborate closely with customer project leads to drive customer deliverables.
  • Drive Knowledge Transfer and Enablement: Educate clients on best practices while enabling scalable adoption, and document and ensure customers understand implications of deviating from recommendations. Contribute to shared knowledge repositories and internal education.
  • Ensure Seamless Client Integration: Align iD Cloud with the client's systems and processes to enable a smooth technical and operational rollout. Engage internal partners to provide education or technical assistance to drive short-term success with future state in mind.
  • Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor and central point of contact, fostering strong, collaborative partnerships internally and externally throughout the project.

What we're looking for:
  • Retail and RFID Experience: Experience in the retail industry, particularly working with RFID or iD Cloud specifically. Your retail experience may have ranged from working with iD Cloud as an associate in a store to approving differences in Inventory Control to project managing an RFID program in the past. These insights will help you best empathize with and provide recommendations for customers.
  • Project Management Excellence: Demonstrated expertise in independently leading and executing multiple complex implementation projects from initiation through completion. Brings a strong foundation in project management principles (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or Agile methodologies), with a demonstrated ability to develop project plans, manage budgets and timelines, mitigate risks, and align stakeholders across diverse business functions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You must have the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to achieve common objectives and ensure smooth execution of all project phases.
  • Communication Skills: A strong customer-facing demeanor is a must, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have strong technical presentation skills, effectively engaging stakeholders and translating complex solutions into accessible concepts.
  • Self-Drive and Entrepreneurial Mindset: A hands-on, agile, and solution-oriented approach is essential for thriving in a fast-paced environment. You should exhibit independence and a proactive mentality, demonstrating the ability to maximize customer satisfaction and drive innovative solutions with minimal oversight.

What you'll bring:
  • Education: B.S./B.A. or 5+ years of relevant job experience. Project Management certification preferred such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CAPM.
  • Requirements: Candidates with appropriate experience have the ability to work remotely. During their first year they would visit the Burlington, MA office monthly to align with the broader team. • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Life, LTD, and STD insurance coverages
  • Flexible work hours and remote options
  • Paid time off (PTO) and parental leave
  • A professional environment that supports personal and professional growth. "First People, then Technology"

Base salary range based on experience level and location is reasonably expected to be in the range of $115,000 to $135,000.
