Gearbox Software est a la recherche d'un(e) Artiste technique senior qualifie(e) et motive(e) pour prendre en charge des systemes artistiques complexes, des effets et des shaders pour nos projets. Le role d'Artiste technique senior vise a combler le fosse entre l'art et la programmation, en integrant le contenu et les fonctionnalites artistiques tout en respectant la vision artistique et les contraintes techniques.
Responsabilites
- Travailler avec les artistes pour etablir les meilleures pratiques et des flux de travail (workflows) optimaux.
- Communiquer et travailler en etroite collaboration avec les programmeurs pour developper de nouvelles fonctionnalites de moteur.
- Analyser la memoire et les performances tout au long du developpement d'un projet.
- Creer des shaders efficaces et conviviaux pour une utilisation en jeu.
- Analyser et communiquer les defis techniques lies aux concepts artistiques et de design.
- Rechercher et developper des prototypes pour les pipelines artistiques et aider a donner vie aux idees de vos collegues.
Qualifications
- Plus de 6 ans d'experience dans l'industrie.
- Connaissance approfondie de Unreal Engine 5.
- Maitrise de la creation d'outils et de pipelines integres a l'editeur (in-editor).
- Capacite a collaborer et a bien travailler avec des equipes de diverses disciplines.
- Prendre en charge des contenus/systemes de qualite finale (shippable), economes en memoire et performants.
- Capacite a penser de maniere creative (out-of-the-box) pour surmonter les defis techniques.
- Capacite a s'auto-diriger et a faire preuve d'autonomie lorsque cela est requis.
C'est un plus
- Connaissance pratique de HLSL ou GLSL.
- Connaissance pratique des scripts Python ou d'un autre langage de programmation.
- Capacite a creer des outils et des ressources procedurales.
- Bonne connaissance d'une application de modelisation 3D et d'un editeur d'images.
- Experience avec les plateformes de generation actuelle (Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5).
- Experience avec d'autres moteurs populaires ou proprietaires (Unity, etc.).
- Fort equilibre entre l'esthetique creative/visuelle et les competences techniques.
