Job description

American Sound is looking to add an Account Executive to our growing team! The ideal candidate will focus on cultivating relationships with enterprise, healthcare, and education clients, with an emphasis on business development and managing existing accounts. This role offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated technical engineer and requires a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and a creative approach to solution selling.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage commercial audio-visual design, integration, and support sales
  • Focus on cultivating relationships with enterprise, healthcare, and education clients
  • Engage in business development activities, dedicating 70% of efforts to acquiring new clients initially, with a shift towards 30% as the pipeline grows
  • Manage and nurture existing accounts, with the focus increasing as new client acquisition stabilizes
  • Network with commercial and corporate groups to identify and create new business opportunities
  • Conduct day-to-day activities, including new client meetings, proposal generation, and contract negotiation
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated technical engineer to deliver customized solutions to clients
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of commercial AV or technology sales experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business or a related field is a plus
  • Proven history as a great communicator and negotiator
  • Comfortable using sales databases and generating proposals
  • Creative thinker with a strong aptitude for solution sales
  • Strong team leadership skills and ability to work well within a team
Job Details and Compensation:
  • Shift time and Days- Day shift, M-F
  • Annual salary draw- $90k-100k, once draw is achieved, additional commission is offered at 30% gross profit
