What You'll DoTechnical Manual Development & UpdatesDevelop, update, and maintain Army Technical Manuals (TMs), including Operator, Field Maintenance, Depot Maintenance, and IPB contentEnsure compliance with MIL-STD-40051 (IADS/XML) and MIL-HDBK-2361Produce deliverables in required formats, including XML/SGML source files, graphics, style sheets/FOSIs, DTD artifacts, and final IADS/PDF outputsTranslate engineering data (drawings, schematics, TDPs, ECPs, software changes) into clear, accurate content for operators and maintainersDevelop and maintain Maintenance Operation Work Requirements (MOWs) and Depot Work Maintenance Requirements (DWMRs)Ensure compliance with MIL-PRF-63002M, Army logistics standards, and sustainment requirementsParticipate in TM validation events at contractor or government facilitiesConduct hands-on walkthroughs of maintenance, PMCS, troubleshooting, and system administration proceduresIncorporate redlines and revision-controlled updatesSupport Government verification activities in accordance with AR 25-30, AMC Pam 25-31, and program guidancePrepare and submit validation reports per DI-TMSS-81819Ensure TM content aligns with ILS and provisioning products, including PPL, ARL, LLTIL, LORA, FMECA, MTA, and sparing recommendationsIncorporate updates from EDFP, Logistics Product Data changes, and material master updatesCoordinate with provisioning teams to ensure accurate SMR codes, parts lists, and maintenance allocationSupport documentation for fielding activities and New Equipment Training (NET)Update manuals and job aids based on field feedback and hardware/software changesAssist with depot-level repair documentation and special tool updatesTrack and implement updates from ECPs, baseline changes, provisioning updates, and Government review commentsMaintain version control and compliance with all CDRLs and DID requirementsWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field or equivalent DoD technical writing experience5+ years developing Army or DoD Technical ManualsExperience supporting TM validation and verification eventsExperience with depot-level maintenance publications and ILS artifactsStrong ability to interpret engineering data, provisioning outputs, and LSA productsActive Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting an Army weapon system programFamiliarity with provisioning standards and products, including:GEIA-STD-0007EDFP, LPD, LSA-030, ARLKnowledge of maintenance levels (O/I/D), SMR codes, and logistics data systemsExperience supporting NET or fielding events
