Position:ย 

Exeter High School in SAU 16 seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Sub-Varsity Soccer (Freshman/JV) Coach at Exeter High School.ย  ย 
Responsibilities:
To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical trainingย necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the sameย time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to sociallyย acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride ofย accomplishment in the student athletes. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skillsย through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.ย 


Qualifications:ย 

  • Has the ability to organize and supervise a Soccerย program.
  • Has previous successful coaching experience preferred.
  • The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to Soccer.
  • The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughย his/her instructions and actions.ย 

Duties And Responsibilities:

  1. Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies of Exeter High School.
  2. Has knowledge of existing NFHS / NHIAA regulations.
  3. Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.ย 

Administrative Duties:

  1. Assists the athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for tournamentย  and special sport events.
  2. Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres toย  scheduled facility times. ย 

Student Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  2. Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct.
  3. By his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance andย safeguards for each participant.ย

The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation inย conjunction with the high school principal.ย
