Job description

Raymond West is looking for a skilled Technical Trainer to join our team! This role is responsible for providing education and training to Raymond West's technicians and other workgroups. Technical Trainers facilitate both classroom and on-the-job training to ensure that employees are sufficiently skilled and equipped to meet customer expectations. The individual in this role is crucial to maintaining our high standards and will serve as both mentor and subject matter expert.
Employment in the Technical Trainer role is contingent upon successful completion of the Raymond Course Manager Training or equivalent train-the-trainer program, in which Technical Trainer candidates learn the skills and methods for facilitating technical training courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical responsibilities are listed below, but primary duties will vary by position and location. This list is not exhaustive.
  • Facilitate technician training in classroom and on-the-job settings in a manner consistent with Raymond, Toyota, OEM, and OSHA requirements.
  • Manage course schedule, classroom needs, and student engagement to consistently achieve learning objectives.
  • Assess and test the competence of employees in performing tasks essential to their role.
  • Maintain training certifications and up-to-date subject matter expertise on Raymond, Toyota, or OEM products and solutions.
  • Coordinate training delivery needs such as reserving classrooms, ordering materials, and communicating with students.
  • Timely completion of all necessary administrative items, such as booking travel, submitting expense reports, roster management, evaluations, and recording training course completions.
  • Participate in ongoing team initiatives, such as course material revisions, new training development and any process improvements.
  • Research, analyze, design, and implement training programs - along with updating current programs as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning for all business units.
  • Embody Raymond West professional values and behavioral standards, serving as a role model for new and existing employees.
  • Additional duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education/Experience:
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of forklift, automated warehouse solutions, vertical lift module, conveyor, energy solutions, and/or dock & door experience.
  • Mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and/or electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Hand and power tool experience.
  • Training experience or certifications preferred.

Travel Requirement:
  • Up to 50% per month
  • Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

Pay Range:
  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
