Job description

Become a Technical Delivery Manager - Time & Pay at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. This role is part of our NextGen ERP implementation team, and you will be responsible for leading the endโ€‘toโ€‘end delivery of SuccessFactors Payroll and Workforce Time within the Time & Pay domain. As a Technical Delivery Manager - Time & Pay, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.

Key Focus
  • Lead the endโ€‘toโ€‘end delivery of SuccessFactors Payroll and Workforce Time within the Time & Pay domain, ensuring coordination with Disability Management and HR operating units.
  • Oversee project execution across multiple agile teams, ensuring milestone achievement, quality deliverables, and business alignment.
  • Manage dayโ€‘toโ€‘day project execution across HR, Disability and Finance business teams, System Integrator, internal and external partners to ensure progress, milestone achievement, and quality deliverables.
  • Anticipate, raise, and mitigate risks and issues impacting scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Provide inputs to sprint planning via Product Oriented Delivery (POD) based hybrid Agile methodology and participate in sprints across concurrent workstreams to obtain insight into progress and report on deviations and/or roadblocks to successful completion.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, implementation partners, product owners, and internal technology teams to align goals, scope, and priorities.
  • Manage integrated delivery plans, and programโ€‘level risks and issues.
  • Serve as the escalation point for delivery roadblocks, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to timelines.
  • Prepare executiveโ€‘level status reports and presentations for steering committees and governance forums.
Responsibilities
  • Manage activities of one or more large, mid to longโ€‘term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
  • Develop business plans, objectives and initiatives for the organization.
  • Provide inputs to organizational objectives and policies and ensure delivery of results.
  • Engage regularly with senior management as a key consultant on critical business issues.
  • Direct complex Agile release train planning, synchronization, and delivery across products and portfolios.
  • Oversee data and platform migrations between legacy and nextโ€‘gen systems with minimal business disruption.
  • Facilitate the design and integration of robust continuous improvement/development (CI/CD) pipelines for enterpriseโ€‘scale test automation and rapid release cycles.
  • Lead largeโ€‘scale Agile teams through full software development lifecycles from inception to deprecation.
  • Ensure the protection of all physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of experience in IT project management.
  • Experience managing activities of one or more large, mid to longโ€‘term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
  • Experience with IT Program Management or large enterprise projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP and/or Scrum Certification.
  • 7+ years of extensive experience in leading transformation projects for large enterprises involving SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors Payroll, and SAP Workforce Time Management solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience applying SAP Activate methodology for delivering HR SuccessFactors Payroll, and SAP Workforce Time Management solutions.
  • Experienced in managing multiple project plans, external vendors and overseeing Agile release planning, synchronization, and delivery across products and workstreams.
  • Expertise in change management, guiding organizations through the transformation process while managing stakeholder expectations and facilitating smooth adoption of new technologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM for managing project lifecycles and system monitoring.
  • Ability to lead crossโ€‘functional teams, including business analysts, technoโ€‘functional leads, and external SI consultants.
  • Ability to quickly identify issues during the implementation phase and provide effective resolutions.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical solutions and business process changes to both technical and nonโ€‘technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in client interaction, understanding business requirements, and maintaining customer satisfaction during the implementation process.
Additional Information

This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
