Job description

POSITION:                                        Technical Coordinator - PCCS Data Services   

LOCATION:                                       Plymouth-Canton Educational Support Center                                                                        

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate's degree or higher required.
  2. Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent of three years' work experience in the field preferred.
  3. Exemplary skills in database and spreadsheet applications.
  4. Demonstrated leadership of others in a customer service environment.
  5. Demonstrated expertise with Student Information Systems, including troubleshooting.
  6. Experience with MISTAR and Illuminate DnA.
  7. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing multiple tasks for both yourself and others.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with students, parents, staff, administration, and the public.

  9. Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, written and verbal communication skills.

  10. Trustworthy, shows initiative, works independently while able to take direction, detail-oriented, and protective of confidential information.

  11. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement. 

  12. Ability to meet timelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Primarily responsible for management and technical support of the District Student Information System and Student Data Warehouse.

  2. Primary liaison for external student data system support via Wayne RESA, and select external student data integrations such as online textbook student resources, transportation routing, and food service.

  3. Primary expert in creating and sharing reports from the District Student Information System and Student Data Warehouse for use by staff.

  4. Provides expertise and support for the master scheduling process @ P-CEP (three comprehensive high schools sharing a campus and collective student body).

  5. Provides guidance and recommendations for data integrations and process improvements.

  6. Coordinates work of other staff involved with the District Student Information System, including P-CEP Scheduler, building secretaries, technology department staff, etc.

  7. Performs all other tasks assigned by the Executive Director of Integrated Technology Systems.

  8. Secondary support for families with MISTAR Parent Connection issues.

  9. Performs all other tasks assigned by the Executive Director of Integrated Technology Systems.

  10. Bending, lifting, and overhead work required.

                                                  $64,589 $90,386

                                                  Placement on the salary schedule will be based upon experience and qualifications.                                                             

BEGINNING DATE:                     As soon as possible

EVALUATION:                            Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of 

                                                  Certificated Personnel.
