KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Senior Master Data Manager for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.

Job Description:

We Are Seeking a highly experienced Senior IBM Master Data Management (MDM) & Integration Developer to provide ongoing maintenance, support, enhancement, and integration of enterprise-scale Master Data Management applications. This role will focus on supporting Master Person Index (MPI), data stewardship, and related MDM applications while ensuring data integrity, application security, and reliable business processes. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead, collaborating with business analysts, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and application teams to support complex systems and deliver enhancements throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM, Java/J2EE, Apache Kafka, Linux/Unix, SQL, and enterprise application support.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide ongoing maintenance, technical support, enhancement, and integration for enterprise MDM applications.

·         Serve as a technical lead and provide application oversight to business analysts and teams integrating with Master Person Index solutions.

·         Develop high-level functional requirements and technical specifications for complex projects.

·         Execute the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

·         Work with Linux operating systems and perform command-line operations, log analysis, and system-level troubleshooting.

·         Develop automation and operational scripts using PowerShell and Bash.

·         Work with Git and GitHub repositories and support development workflows.

·         Collaborate with Database Administrators to develop, execute, and optimize SQL scripts.

·         Develop and maintain SQL queries within Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.

·         Create monthly reports and provide reporting support for MDM applications.

·         Work with business clients to resolve tasks, incidents, and tickets related to MDM applications.

·         Create, deploy, and maintain certificates across Windows and Linux environments.

·         Collaborate with infrastructure teams, including Linux, Windows, and network teams, to resolve maintenance and production issues.

·         Design, develop, and implement test plans and test reports for applications and subsystems.

·         Create and execute test data to validate application functionality and program logic.

·         Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test case development, and post-implementation testing.

·         Track and provide defect and incident information throughout the application lifecycle.

·         Assist with Request for Change (RFC) processes for application and infrastructure changes.

·         Maintain and update technical and system documentation following application upgrades and changes.

·         Develop prototypes, mockups, flowcharts, screen layouts, and other documentation to support requirements and solution design.

·         Assist with architecture assessments, hosting documentation, and firewall rule requirements.

·         Monitor production and non-production application environments.

·         Troubleshoot application, integration, messaging, and infrastructure issues.

·         Support enterprise applications and mission-critical production systems.

·         Work with Apache Kafka, including topic configuration, producer and consumer development, message flow troubleshooting, and batch processing.

·         Support integrations between Kafka, WildFly-based applications, and IBM MDM Standard Edition.

·         Support application deployments, configuration, health checks, and runtime troubleshooting within WildFly.

·         Create, schedule, and maintain CRON jobs for batch and scheduled processes.

·         Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Git repositories, or similar technologies.

·         Support applications deployed in cloud and containerized environments.

·         Provide technical recommendations and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, application performance, and data integrity.

·         Independently own, maintain, and support complex enterprise applications with minimal external dependency.

Required Skills:

·         8+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise-scale systems.

·         Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM v14.x Standard Edition (Virtual MDM), including:

·         MDM data models

·         Entities and transactions

·         Batch processing

·         Configuration

·         Customization

·         Troubleshooting

·         Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.

·         Strong understanding of MDM concepts and IBM MDM product capabilities.

·         8+ years of Java/J2EE experience, including Java, JSP, and REST/SOAP-based services.

·         5+ years of Linux/Unix experience, including command-line usage, log analysis, and system troubleshooting.

·         Experience with SQL development and optimization using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

·         Strong Linux/Unix shell scripting experience, particularly Bash.

·         Experience supporting enterprise and mission-critical production systems.

·         Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience with Apache Kafka, including topic creation/configuration, producer and consumer development, message-flow troubleshooting, and Zookeeper/Kafka KRaft concepts using the Strimzi operator.

·         Experience with batch processing using WildFly and Kafka.

·         Experience with WildFly application servers, including deployments, startup, configuration, health checks, and runtime issue resolution.

·         Experience integrating Kafka with WildFly-based applications and IBM MDM Standard Edition.

·         Experience creating, scheduling, and maintaining CRON jobs.

·         Experience with Flowable development.

·         Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Git repositories, or similar tools.

·         Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments.

·         Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

·         Exposure to OpenShift and Kubernetes.

·         Experience with ELK/Elastic Stack for log monitoring and troubleshooting, including correlating logs across Kafka, WildFly, and MDM.

·         Experience working with data-intensive applications and complex enterprise integrations.

·         Strong ability to independently maintain and support complex systems.

·         Experience with application security, system documentation, testing, and production support.

·         Healthcare experience is preferred.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to collaborate effectively with business, technical, infrastructure, database, and application teams.
