GLI is seeking a Technical Compliance Engineer in our Las Vegas, NV location. This position is part of our Technical Compliance team, who are on the cutting edge of the gambling industry. This team performs research on new technology and emerging markets while providing support to clients and internal team members.

What You Will Accomplish Here…

As a Technical Compliance Engineer, you will serve as a bridge between our Delivery teams and the regulators, including independently reviewing and assessing test results. You will also work directly with the regulators to better understand their needs and assist them with updates on regulations and internal controls.

This position will focus on the following: 

  • Provides customer service and support to regulators, suppliers, and operators.
  • Evaluates documentation related to submissions and testing.
  • Maintains a register of current regulations and certification processes.
  • Learns and maintains a working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internal controls for assigned jurisdictions.
  • Develops/maintains internal procedural documentation, coversheets, forms, and test scripts.
  • Assists in the process of generating correspondence for new technology or changes in regulatory policy.
  • Works with the Senior Compliance team on all regulatory technical matters and issues relating to rules, regulations, technical standards, and minimum internal control standards.
  • Consults with the Delivery groups in the various offices on regulatory technical questions.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues to analyze potential regulatory issues and document the root cause of technical matters.
  • Handles assignments for quality review of draft certification reports.
  • Provides input in support of the development and refinement of technical standards.
  • Writes correspondence to regulatory agencies that conveys technical matters in a clear and concise manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Programming or a similar technical field is required.
  • Experience in Gaming, Lottery, and Tribal environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Must have demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to customer service.
  • Must have the ability to adjust communication styles according to the audience.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, while maintaining a realistic balance among priorities.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

 

Location: Las Vegas, NV (in-office)

Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours or more per week.

Salary: $34.09/hour ($70,920/year)

Travel: Up to 10% travel to other office locations or to events, as requested
