Sr, Technical Program Manager (MFG) Location: Reno, Nevada
 
About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing, to lead complex programs involving manufacturing systems and process development from concept through full-scale production. This role requires driving cross functional execution across manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, firmware and software, product, supply chain, quality, and production operations teams. You will own program scope, schedules, risk management, and delivery quality across multi phase manufacturing development roadmaps, ensuring successful execution through process design, line validation, and production ramp.
 
 Responsibilities:
 
Oversee program scope, schedules, and resource planning for manufacturing engineering initiatives, ensuring deliverables meet timeline, quality, cost, and performance expectations.
Drive execution across the full manufacturing development lifecycle, including process concept development, design reviews, pilot line builds, process verification, validation, qualification, and production ramp readiness.
Coordinate manufacturing development milestones, including process requirements definition, fixture and tooling release, line layout, DFM/DFA reviews, process capability studies, pilot builds, tooling readiness, and engineering change management.
Drive program planning and milestone tracking for manufacturing line integration, equipment readiness, process maturity, and production readiness.
Identify and mitigate risks related to manufacturing process design, supplier readiness, tooling, long lead equipment and materials, production constraints, and cross functional dependencies.
Partner with engineering and product teams to define program requirements, manufacturing development roadmaps, and success metrics aligned with business goals.
Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to support sourcing readiness, vendor and contract manufacturer qualification, production planning, and clear to build milestones.
Support process validation and qualification activities by partnering with engineering and quality teams on test planning, yield analysis, failure analysis, corrective actions, and issue resolution.
Monitor program costs, resource needs, and schedule risks, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost optimization, yield improvement, and improved execution.
Improve program management processes, tools, and best practices specific to manufacturing and production development to enhance scalability, predictability, and transparency.
Communicate program status, critical issues, risks, and milestones to executive leadership and cross functional stakeholders.
Lead collaboration across manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain, production operations, quality, product management, and system integration teams.
 
 Qualifications:
 
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in technical program management or engineering leadership, with strong focus on manufacturing systems, production processes, or hardware products.
Proven success managing complex manufacturing programs involving multiple teams, schedules, dependencies, and technical disciplines.
  Strong understanding of manufacturing process development, phase gate development, and production engineering workflows from concept through full-scale production.
Experience working within engineering organizations developing electromechanical products, assemblies, or manufacturing processes and production lines.
Strong understanding of manufacturing process principles, DFM/DFA, process capability and tolerance analysis, process validation, and production readiness.
Experience managing supplier and sourcing dependencies, tooling and equipment schedules, long lead materials, and production launch and ramp readiness.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to influence across teams and functions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable operating in fast paced environments with shifting priorities.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, project schedules, and structured development frameworks.
Preferred experience with PLM/MES systems, CAD collaboration tools, manufacturing execution systems, and pilot/production build management.
Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel. Preferred Tools & Platform Exposure
