ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee and provide technical support for theatre and other campus events. This includes lighting & sound equipment and control systems, staging & audio-visual equipment and set up, livestreaming, laptops, pipe and drapes.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High-School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year working in a theatre/AV company or environment.
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of lighting instruments/control system, sound equipment/control systems, live-streaming sports or other events, computer/laptop, and other AV equipment.
SKILLS: Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills; customer service skills; ability to work both independently and in a team; and have technical problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with daily tasks as needed which also includes event set-up in the Performing Arts Center, on campus and infrequent off-campus events.
2. Run lights, sound, camera, live-streaming equipment for events and other AV equipment during theatre and campus events.
3. Assist with data entry, and documentation of processes and procedures.
4. Deliver any Audio-Visual equipment that are pre-scheduled or as needed.
5. Ensure equipment is in working order and proper placement.
6. Provide AV Support to Electronic classrooms and conference rooms as needed or requested.
7. Diagnose and troubleshoot theatre and AV equipment.
8. Assist with Installation and Service on replacement of consumables such as projector & lighting instrument lamps, amps and other theatre and AV equipment.
9. Convey technical issues and material to non-technical people.
10. Must be able to lift up to 30-40 pounds, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, pull, push, grasp, lift, stand for periods of time, work in inclement weather, climb 15-foot ladder and to the catwalk.
11. Other duties as assigned.
