Overview:

The Bonadio Group is seeking a Senior Resource Specialist for our Tax Service Line. This person will oversee resource management performance across workforce planning, scheduling, and global resource coordination. This role is critical to aligning operational processes with strategic objectives, driving innovation and standardization, and supporting a high-performing Tax Service Line. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and the Innovations Manager, the Senior Resource Specialist will foster cross-functional collaboration, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance resource utilization across the practice.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the scheduling function for the Tax Service Line, including long-term and day-to-day resource planning, job assignments, reassignments, and resource pool management.

Develop and manage weekly staffing commitments for resource pools, monitor utilization and workload capacity, and work with leaders to ensure assignments are appropriately staffed and progressing as planned.
Coordinate resource allocation across teams, balancing workloads, client deadlines, employee preferences, and industry specialization to maximize efficiency and service delivery.
Monitor staffing demands and scheduling conflicts, proactively identifying and resolving resource constraints to support client service objectives.
Collaborate with global resource teams to optimize offshore and shared-service staffing, ensuring resources are effectively utilized and aligned with operational needs.
Utilize project management and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to improve resource management processes and oversee workforce planning initiatives.
Drive initiatives to optimize charge hour attainment, capacity management, and overall resource utilization while promoting equitable workload distribution across the service line.
Support the operational integration of merged or acquired firms, including workforce planning, resource alignment, and adoption of firm resource management processes.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement while helping align resource management practices with the firm's strategic goals and growth initiatives.
Required qualifications:
A minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or business or related
A minimum of three years of public accounting experience and/or tax operations management
Documented leadership experience with demonstrated success managing teams greater than 100 employees

Proven technical proficiency with experience working with relevant platforms (examples: Workday, Power, BI, Monday.com) and public accounting systems
The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Hours of Operation:

  • Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

  • Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needs

  • We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
