Job description

About the Company
America is under sustained cyber attack. Our adversaries infiltrate our networks, steal our IP, and degrade the digital infrastructure that modern life runs on. They've learned-correctly-that those attacks rarely produce consequences.
Twenty was founded to change that, by making our adversaries think twice before they attack us. Our vision is American and allied primacy in cyberspace-a future where they cannot contest us, deterrence is assured, and the free world remains secure.
Founded in 2024, Twenty Technologies (www.twenty.io) industrializes offensive cyber operations for the U.S. and its allies. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Twenty has raised $38M from Caffeinated Capital, General Catalyst, and In-Q-Tel.
Role Summary
We are hiring our first IT Manager to build and run the internal IT function at Twenty as we scale. You will own the systems and day-to-day operations that keep employees productive, secure, and supported across devices, identity, collaboration tools, and office technology. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you will solve immediate operational needs while building the processes, standards, and roadmap for a durable IT function. You will partner closely with leadership, engineering, operations, and security stakeholders in a high-trust environment where reliability, speed, and sound judgment matter.
Who You Are
  • You are comfortable owning a function from the ground up and building systems that scale with the company.
  • You balance speed, security, and practicality without creating unnecessary processes.
  • You are equally effective operating hands-on day to day and setting direction for the future.
  • You bring strong judgment around privileged access, endpoint security, and internal systems reliability.
  • You are organized, dependable, and thoughtful when handling sensitive workflows and company-critical systems.
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • You enjoy creating structure where little exists today and raising the bar as the company grows.
  • You are motivated by supporting mission-critical work in a security-conscious environment.
What You'll Do
  • You will own internal IT operations across devices, user lifecycle management, collaboration tooling, and office technology.
  • You will run onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, account setup, access changes, and asset tracking.
  • You will administer core internal systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, identity providers, MFA, endpoint management, and other SaaS tools.
  • You will build scalable processes for provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, hardware management, and internal support.
  • You will improve endpoint posture across the company, including inventory, patching, encryption, MDM, and EDR coverage.
  • You will partner with leadership, engineering, operations, and security stakeholders to improve reliability, security, and employee experience.
  • You will manage vendors across hardware procurement, MSPs, IT service providers, and selected security partners.
  • You will establish the roadmap for IT as the company grows, including tooling decisions, documentation, service standards, and operational metrics.
  • You will support office IT needs in Arlington, including conference room technology, connectivity, and basic on-site troubleshooting.
  • You will help hire and support additional IT team members over time as the function grows.
Must Have
  • You have 5+ years of experience in IT, corporate systems, or internal infrastructure roles.
  • You have owned core IT operations in a startup, high-growth company, or similarly demanding environment.
  • You have experience administering Google Workspace, Slack, SSO/MFA, endpoint management, and modern SaaS environments.
  • You have experience with Apple device management, MDM, EDR, asset tracking, and access lifecycle processes.
  • You have built or improved processes for onboarding, offboarding, device management, access control, and internal support.
  • You have experience working with outside vendors, MSPs, and IT or security service providers.
  • You have supported in-office teams, including workplace technology and conference room systems.
  • You have strong operational judgment in security-minded environments, including least privilege, device trust, audit controls, and access reviews.
Nice To Have
  • You have experience hiring, mentoring, or managing junior IT staff.
  • You have experience in defense tech, cybersecurity, regulated environments, or companies serving government customers.
  • You have experience defining SLAs, service standards, or internal IT performance metrics.
  • You have helped build an internal IT function from an early stage through company growth.
  • You have experience partnering closely with security teams on policy implementation and audit readiness.
Tech Environment (You Might Work With)
  • You might work with Google Workspace, Slack, and modern SaaS administration workflows.
  • You might work with SSO, MFA, identity providers, and access lifecycle tooling.
  • You might work with Apple device fleets, MDM, endpoint compliance, and EDR platforms.
  • You might work with asset tracking systems, hardware procurement workflows, and internal support tooling.
  • You might work with conference room technology, office connectivity, and workplace systems.
Security / Work Environment
Some positions may require eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
This role is based on-site in Arlington and supports work in a security-conscious environment.
Benefits
What's on the table:
  • Health. Medical, dental, and vision plan options. Life / AD&D, disability coverage options.
  • Family. Paid parental leave for eligible full-time employees. 12 weeks for birthing parents, 4 for non-birthing parents, 6 weeks for adoptive, foster, or intended parents through surrogacy.
  • Vacation. Paid holidays and flexible PTO. Take what you need.
  • Retirement. 401(k) with pre-tax and Roth options. HSA/FSA options, dependent care FSA.
  • At the office. Commuter benefits. On-site garage parking. Bike storage. Building fitness center. Desk setup stipend.

Benefits vary by location, role, and eligibility. Full plan details provided during the interview and offer process.
If this role sounds like you, apply and share with us your interest.
Some positions may require eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Any clearance requirement will be listed in the role description.
Twenty is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected status.
If you need a reasonable accommodation during the hiring process, let us know and we will work with you.
