Job description

Sr. IT Engineer

The Sr IT Engineer will help to oversee and direct all aspects of EIT Zollner’s Information Technology and Information Systems (IT/IS). Develop systems and applications for internal and customer use.

Essential Functions:

1. Oversee, administer and maintain all critical company computers, servers, ERP, communication (VOIP, POTS, Fax, Email, Video, etc.), network and other information systems.

2. Data and network integrity, backup and security including knowledge of CMMC while working with the companies MSP.

3. Systems implementation and planning.

4. Evaluate, research and approve or disapprove Hardware/Software requirements and requests for capital planning.

5. Support IT Techs by Troubleshooting and resolving user and other issues, problems and challenges with related Information Technology and Information Systems.

6. Server hardware selection and implementation knowledge including related Windows and Linux software.

7. Basic programming knowledge.

Education Requirements:

Minimum Two Year College degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer or Electrical Engineering.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum ten years’ experience in IT/IS.

Skills/Knowledge /Abilities(SKA):

Broad network, systems, administration, development and database skills.

Epicor is a plus

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving ability.

Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds).

Ability to use hand and power tools.

Knowledge of electricity and electronics concepts.

Knowledge of changing security requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable ISO processes.
