Job description

Position Summary: You will be responsible for end-user hardware and software support as an IT support technician. This includes Windows-based PCs, Windows Active Directory, and third-party applications.
You will work with our team of IT professionals to maintain the organization's computer systems, networks, and data. You will perform various IT duties in this role, including firewall modifications, troubleshooting physical networking (switches and cabling), system security patching, and systems deployment.
The ideal candidate would be someone with a solid foundational knowledge base and documented experience with end-user support. The individual also would possess a strong self-drive and be capable of working autonomously to solve problems, self-educate, and stay current on emerging technologies. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are a plus.
Candidate must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) security clearance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows Server.
• Firewall maintenance, upgrades, and configuration.
• Ability to perform in varying conditions, including in-car technology deployment and troubleshooting.
• Utilize the PDQ suite for remote software deployments and patch management.
• Maintain Windows Active Directory.
• Microsoft Exchange management.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, processes, and procedures with support from the Tidal Basin team.
• Other duties as assigned

• 1-3 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Associate's Degree or higher in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Desired: Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (VMware or HyperV).
• Preferred: Knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SMTP principles.
• Desired: Knowledge of SonicWall edge firewalls and security services.
• Desired: Knowledge of cloud technologies (i.e., Azure, AWS, IaaS)
