The Director of Wealth Management Technology leadership role is a Business Relationship Manager role within our Technology Services department (IT). This role serves as the strategic interface between IT and our Wealth Management practice, responsible for working with practice leadership to achieve strategic objectives by driving innovation and leveraging technology at competitive scale and speed.

This role will serve as a member of the Information Technology leadership team, reporting to the CIO, and work collaboratively with a close-knit team of Directors to help shape and execute on our enterprise IT strategy and roadmap, continuously improve IT delivery and operations, and help grow and develop our talented team.

Your role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Partner with Wealth Management leadership as a strategic technology advisor for business strategy, goals and operational challenges to accelerate strategic and innovative use of technology, with accountability for the technology product portfolio and technology resources supporting the practice.
  • Partner with business leadership to co-lead the portfolio of business technology ideas, products, projects and enhancements from innovative product envisioning through delivery and operations.
  • Lead the design, build, and evolution of dedicated Wealth Management product management and solution delivery team and resources (internal and vendor provided) to meet the needs of the practice.
  • Work with business partners and related IT leaders to ensure roadmaps for the realization of business goals through technology product value delivery are in place and effectively communicated.
  • Keep pace with emerging technology, vendor, and competitive marketplace changes and proactively share knowledge across Wealth Management practices to identify emerging opportunities or risks.
  • Work with Project and Product Managers to provide strategic oversight and guidance on business technology scoping and execution, with a strong focus on stakeholder alignment, communication, and accelerated delivery of technology-enabled service enhancements.
  • Responsible for financial leadership of annual IT investment plans and resource forecasts in partnership with the practice area/function. This includes establishing a co-ownership model with Wealth Management so that investment and resource planning is transparent and efficient.
  • Ensure the proper engagement and resourcing from practice area/function leadership and staffing on projects and product initiatives to ensure stakeholder involvement, buy-in and success.

The qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred - technology or business oriented.
  • 15+ years experience in technology domain roles; with a preference for a blend of consulting and internal IT and cross-functional technology domain experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in roles involving innovation, strategy, and solution delivery.
  • Strong preference for Wealth Management industry domain experience in technology leadership roles (prior CIO or senior IT leader responsible for leading technology innovation, strategy, and delivery in IT to support the practice).
  • Experience in leading in a Product Management Operating Model and Agile delivery constructs (Product envisioning through agile SDLC delivery).
  • Experience with working closely with business leadership and staff to create strategy, roadmaps, and solution/product delivery excellence to achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience building and developing technology delivery teams with strong business and client centric orientation.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at all levels both within and outside the firm, characterized by mutual respect, openness, and trust.
  • Experience with presenting and facilitating executive level meetings and discussions, or presenting at large business unit gatherings representing IT.

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.
