RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Project Manager in West Des Moines, IA.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic business and technology initiatives that support operational improvements, business growth, and enterprise system implementations. This role partners closely with both business stakeholders and IT teams to successfully deliver complex projects from planning through execution.
Key Tasks:
* Manage multiple large-scale projects and workstreams simultaneously, ensuring priorities, timelines, and deliverables stay on track
* Lead cross-functional teams consisting of business and IT resources
* Drive project delivery using Agile and iterative methodologies
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and key milestones
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget through established governance and stage-gate processes
* Coordinate resource planning and allocation across multiple initiatives
* Prepare project updates, forecasts, and executive-level reporting materials
* Support project governance activities, portfolio reviews, and steering committee meetings
* Build and maintain project roadmaps while identifying and managing cross-project dependencies
* Partner with the PMO to ensure consistent project management standards and best practices
* Mentor and support other project managers by providing guidance on planning, estimation, and project execution
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of professional experience and technical expertise
* Military experience may be considered in place of a degree
* 6+ years of project management experience leading complex business and technology initiatives
* 2+ years working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
* Experience delivering large system implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects
* Experience within insurance or financial services is a plus
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Project
* Experience with Jira or other Agile project management tools is preferred
Nice to Have:
* Insurance or financial services industry experience
* Experience working with enterprise PMO governance frameworks
* Background managing large-scale technology transformation initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
