Precision in the OR, Purpose in Every Procedure - Join an In-Demand Surgical Team in the Vibrant Charm of Baltimore
Imagine the impact you can make where precision blends seamlessly with purpose. As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in the thriving medical scene of Baltimore, Maryland, you'll be an essential part of every surgical moment, from meticulously preparing the OR to confidently ensuring all procedures close flawlessly. Yet, beyond the sterile boundaries of the operating room, lies a captivating community rich in history, innovation, and opportunity.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Assisting in surgical procedures by preparing and meticulously organizing the operating room
  • Upholding sterile environments and following best practices for infection control
  • Safely handing instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants
  • Managing and preparing surgical equipment diligently before, during, and after procedures
  • Keeping a watchful eye on supplies to ensure readiness for each surgery
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for coordinated care
  • Documenting accurate surgical counts and maintaining clear communication
Education Requirements:
  • Must have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Certifications Needed:
  • Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is required
  • BLS certification (or ability to secure within 90 days of hire)
Key Skills and Attributes:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures across various specialties
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills in dynamic, high-pressure environments
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and swiftly respond to the surgical team's requirements
  • Strong organizational practices with diligent attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Proficient understanding of aseptic techniques and sterile field upkeep
Why This Role Stands Out:
  • Flexible shift options - accommodating day, night, and weekend hours
  • Collaborate with an exceptional surgical team performing a diverse array of procedures
  • Opportunities for further education, professional training, and career advancement
  • Access to state-of-the-art surgical technology and equipment
  • Supportive leadership that appreciates your skills and contributions

Immerse yourself in the eclectic food scene, savoring genuine Maryland crab cakes, and enjoy the warmth of community festivals that echo the rich heritage of this lovely city.
Whether you're exploring the Inner Harbor or cheering on the Orioles at Camden Yards, there's always something to enrich your soul. The city's economic stability, combined with the absence of state income tax, ensures that your professional journey is just as fulfilling as your personal adventures.
