Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong L&D experience to support cesarean section procedures and assist the surgical team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights or Rotating
Hours per Week: 36 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Open Positions:
- 1 position: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- 1 position: Rotating shift
- Must have Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
- Must live at least 100 miles away
- NBSTSA Certification (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years of scrubbing experience in L&D required
- Experience with cesarean sections (C/S) required
- BLS certification required
- Good communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification and registration required
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or accredited nursing program required
- Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical procedures
- Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and anticipate surgical team needs
- Pass instruments and assist during surgical procedures
- Assist primarily with Labor & Delivery cases including cesarean sections
- Position and move patients safely
- Perform case cleanup and room turnover
- Support the surgical team throughout procedures
