Summary of Job Duties:The IT Support Specialist provides invaluable frontline technical support for the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting hardware and software. The role requires strong customer service skills, technical proficiency and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment serving a broad university community.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science or related field

  • At least one year of relevant experience providing technical support in a customer-facing role

OR

  • At least three years of relevant experience providing technical support in a customer-facing role


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting mixed environments, with emphasis on Windows systems, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS devices

  • Experience with configuration management and software deployment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Intune and Active Directory

  • Asset management experience (hardware lifecycle, inventory audits, decommissioning)

  • Experience supporting conference room setups

  • Experience with ITIL service management and enterprise ticketing systems (TeamDynamix, ServiceNow, etc.)

  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification

  • Valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve user issues quickly and professionally

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users
