About the role:

The Director, Digital Technology is a senior, enterprise-level technology expert responsible for developing the design, and technical delivery strategy to support the evolution of Colliers' global digital marketing technology ecosystem. Reporting to and directly advising the Global Head of Marketing technology & the Global Head of Corporate technology on how to technically deliver strategic business requirements.

The Director of Digital Technology owns the end-to-end digital technical experience platform landscape, with deep expertise in Sitecore (XP, XM Cloud, and Composable DXP) as a foundational requirement.

Operating at the intersection of marketing, technology, data, and digital experience, this leader sets the long-term vision for scalable, secure, and composable technology solutions across platforms that support global growth, regional flexibility, and evolving customer expectations. The role combines strategic leadership, architectural authority, and hands-on technical oversight, ensuring platforms are modern, cloud-native, API-first, and aligned to enterprise standards.

  • Partner with the head of Martech to set the global digital technology solutions plan, aligned with strategic marketing, business growth strategies, and customer experience objectives.

  • Define and evolve the Marketing Technology ecosystem architecture, with Sitecore as the core DXP and a composable ecosystem of integrated platforms.

  • Establish and maintain a multi-year platform roadmap, balancing innovation, technical debt, scalability, and operational resilience

  • Translate business and marketing strategy into clear technology outcomes, architectural decisions, and delivery methods.

  • Lead platform modernization initiatives, including migrations (e.g. Sitecore XP to XM Cloud), composable transformations, and cloud optimization.

  • Ensure platforms support personalization, experimentation, performance marketing, scalable content operations, measurement and reporting, and AI-enabled discovery.

  • Champion API-first, cloud-native, and headless principles across all digital marketing solutions.

  • Act as the enterprise solutions leader across multiple digital platforms, including SiteCore XP, SiteCore XM Cloud, DAM & Content Hub, Site Search, Personalization, CDP, and composable DXP.

  • Oversee integrations between Sitecore, CRM, CDP, DAM, analytics, consent management, and email marketing automation platforms.

  • Define and enforce responsible AI and automation development practices, including code quality, security review, and data governance guardrails.

  • In alignment with enterprise architecture standards, design and govern integrations across a modern Marketing tech stack, including CRM and customer data platforms (CDP), DAM and content Hub; Analytics, tagging, and data activation platforms, Consent, privacy, and identity management; Experimentation, optimization, and AI/search tools

  • Ensure all platforms adhere to enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, regional data residency).

  • Lead and develop a .com digital technology team

  • Own strategic vendor relationships, including platform partners, system integrators, and managed service providers.

  • Collaborate closely with Global and regional Marketing leadership. Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Operations, Data, Analytics, and AI leaders Product, UX, and Content teams

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital platforms, marketing technology, or enterprise web ecosystems

  • 7+ years in senior leadership roles owning enterprise-scale platforms and teams.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Sitecore XP, XM Cloud, composable DXP architectures, preferred XP to XM Cloud migration experience.

  • Lead the solution design process across multiple digital platforms and integrations.

  • Translate business and functional requirements into clear, technically sound architecture designs.

  • Provide technical direction during project initiation, ensuring alignment between solution, scope, and delivery timelines.

  • Create and maintain solution design documents, data flow diagrams, and integration references. Proven experience designing and governing complex, integrated marketing technology ecosystems.

  • Strong understanding of digital experience delivery, personalization, experimentation, and performance optimization.

  • Experience operating in global, multi-region enterprises with complex stakeholder environments.

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with pragmatic execution and architectural rigor.

  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.

    Approximate Salary Range for Role: $179,750 to $200,000 CAD.

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
