Job Description

IAT has an opening for an IT Support Intern in our Naperville, Illinois location for the summer of 2027.The internship is scheduled to begin on May 24th, 2027, and conclude on July 30th, 2027. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

During this 10-week internship, you will be attached to a Tier 2 Support team supporting IAT's cloud-based enterprise platform, which includes Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Claims, along with a third-party integration to the Hyland OnBase document management system. You will work alongside IAT's Application Support team and gain firsthand experience in a corporate technology environment, learning how technology support teams collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT teams to support critical business processes, improve operations, and deliver projects.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives across the Application Support organization.
  • Observe and contribute to how corporate teams collaborate to solve business challenges.
  • Assist with documenting processes, tracking work, and supporting operational activities.
  • Gain exposure to enterprise systems, project management, and IT service delivery practices.
  • Support the team with other assignments and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Rising undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior.
  • Ability to work out of our Naperville, Illinois office without any housing or relocation assistance from IAT Insurance group.
  • Must be able to complete the entirety of the 10-week internship program (May 24th to July 30th).
  • Ability to quickly learn IAT systems.
  • Problem Solver.
  • Strong Communication skills both with Technical and non-technical resources.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by employer, now or in the future.

Preferred to Have:

  • Major, minor, or concentration in business related or technical degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and VISIO.

Compensation:

Please note, that the hourly pay rate associated with this posting is $17 - $20. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base hourly pay for this position. Actual hourly rates will vary based on factors such as a candidate's class standing, major, and geographical location. The total compensation will include base pay, 401(K) match, and more.
