Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the development of transportation design plans and reports, ensuring compliance with ODOT, OTA, and other applicable standards. The role supports project delivery, client engagement, technical leadership, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
    Manage design plans for ODOT, OTA, and urban transportation projects.
    Produce design plans that meet ODOT and OTA standards and specifications.
    Prepare summaries of quantities, pay items, and notes for highway projects.
    Develop cost estimates and engineering reports.
    Design horizontal and vertical alignments and complete 3D modeling using MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads.
    Maintain strong client relationships and support project acquisition efforts.
    Collaborate with Project Managers to define project scope, budget, staffing needs, and review design team work.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
    Support the environmental clearance process as required.
    Participate in a flexible work schedule aligned with business needs.

Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
    Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Oklahoma.
    5+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience, including 3+ years on ODOT and OTA projects.
    Knowledge of relevant transportation engineering codes and industry standards.
    Proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads software.
    Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
    Ability to travel to project sites, approximately 10% or more.

Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects.
    Familiarity with environmental documentation requirements for transportation projects.
    Experience coordinating with state DOTs, municipalities, or toll authorities.

Physical Requirements:
    Ability to perform both office-based tasks and occasional fieldwork.
    Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
    Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
    Work performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments.
    Occasional exposure to variable weather conditions during site visits.
    Moderate noise levels in both office and field settings.

    Full-time, standard business hours with flexible scheduling available based on project needs.
    Primary work location: Oklahoma City, OK, with periodic travel to project sites.
    Hybrid work options may be considered depending on business requirements.
