Summary: The Florida Tech Director provides visionary leadership for all Production ministries at the Florida campus, including Audio, Lighting, Production Systems, and Dream Team development. This role exists to build, lead, and develop healthy, thriving teams that create a life-giving, distraction-free worship environment where people experience the presence of God.
The Florida Tech Director is responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, and developing volunteer leaders while providing day-to-day leadership for the Florida Production Team. This position oversees staff supervision, performance management, ministry operations, and technical excellence while ensuring alignment with the vision, standards, and culture of Faith Church.
The Florida Tech Director reports directly to the Global Production & Tech Director.
Success in this role is measured not only by technical excellence, but by the ability to recruit, develop, coach, and multiply leaders who create healthy, thriving Production teams that support the mission of Faith Church.
This position requires its primary duty must be the performance of work requiring invention, imagination, originality or talent in a recognized field of artistic or creative endeavor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development (Primary Responsibility)
  • Recruit, build, lead, and develop healthy, growing Production Dream Teams across Audio, Lighting, and Production.
  • Create a culture where volunteers are known, valued, cared for, challenged, and equipped.
  • Develop clear leadership pathways that identify, mentor, and multiply Dream Team leaders.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and retain volunteers through intentional leadership development.
  • Build systems that ensure every production area has trained, capable leaders serving consistently.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, servant leadership, and continual growth.
  • Provide regular coaching, encouragement, and accountability to Production volunteers and leaders.
  • Lead production team meetings, trainings, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure all production volunteers understand and support the vision, culture, and ministry philosophy of Faith Church.

Staff Leadership & Supervision
  • Directly supervise the Florida Production Team.
  • Conduct performance coaching, annual performance reviews, and ongoing employee development.
  • Approve employee timecards, PTO requests, schedules, and other supervisory responsibilities.
  • Provide clear communication, accountability, and leadership to Production staff.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing Production employees.
  • Partner with the Global Production & Tech Director on staffing, strategic planning, and ministry initiatives.

Production Leadership
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all production environments, including Audio, Lighting, and related production systems.
  • Ensure all services and events are executed with excellence while minimizing distractions to worship.
  • Establish and maintain production standards that align with Faith Church's vision across all Florida environments.
  • Oversee maintenance, upgrades, programming, and troubleshooting of production equipment and systems.
  • Ensure all production spaces are prepared and service-ready for weekend services and ministry events.
  • Collaborate with Worship Leaders, Campus Leadership, Creative Teams, and Global Production leadership to execute ministry objectives.

Audio Responsibilities
  • Oversee all campus audio systems, equipment, software, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, programming, troubleshooting, and operation of all audio equipment.
  • Train volunteers and staff in audio operation, best practices, and system workflows.
  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Continually evaluate systems and recommend improvements.

Lighting Responsibilities
  • Lead all lighting programming, operation, maintenance, and system improvements.
  • Recruit, train, and develop Lighting Dream Team members.
  • Train volunteers on GrandMA consoles and lighting software.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout all ministry environments.
  • Assist with stage design, installations, and lighting enhancements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead all Production ministry operations for the Florida campus.
  • Build healthy relationships with Campus Leadership, Worship Team, and ministry leaders.
  • Serve as the primary Production leader for weekend services, conferences, and special events.
  • Partner with the Global Director to implement ministry initiatives and campus-wide projects.
  • Ensure production equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
  • Develop systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and volunteer engagement.
  • Travel between campuses as needed for meetings, training, ministry support, and production initiatives.
  • Participate in major church events requiring additional hours.
  • Be available for occasional after-hours production emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment) and auditorium setting in an audio booth and equipment.
Physical Demands
Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will be the same every week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate.

Monday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am - 9:00pm
Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday: OFF
Friday: OFF
Saturday: 2:00pm - 8:30pm
Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing volunteer teams.
  • Experience supervising employees or ministry leaders preferred.
  • Experience in live production within a church environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Audio, Lighting, or Production certifications.
  • Experience leading multi-site production ministries.
  • Experience with volunteer leadership development.
  • Experience supervising staff.
