Job description

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
Account Managers are responsible for new business developments, maintaining and growth of existing business at assigned strategic accounts for NMB Technologies Corporation
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • New Business Development: Responsible for the development and management of new business for the designated territory market segments.
    • Identify and Respond to Customer Needs - Identify customer needs, assess potential application of company products and offer design solutions
    • Relationship Development/External - Develop solid and long-term influential relationships with key decision makers at the customers
    • Reporting Communications Internal/External - Provide timely and frequent written and verbal reporting on customer interaction and application details as required (including customer contact reporting in SalesForce.com)
  • Technical Research & Reporting - Gather information on customer roadmaps and general industry technical trends, consolidate and analyze information and report summary information and recommendations to product management on a timely and regular basis
    1. Monthly Reporting - Prepare and submit a monthly summary activity report
  • New Business Development Strategy: Work closely with Business Unit Management and Product Team to develop a comprehensive new business development strategy for assigned markets/geographies.
    1. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the customers' products and services to formulate business strategies to drive revenue
    2. Engage in early development phases with customers to ensure NMB products are designed-in
  • Sales Resource Recommendation and Deployment: Act as the point of first reference for all future product-related inquiries.
    1. Maintain and manage all sales-related activities for assigned products.
    2. Responsible for designing, proposing, and implementing an approved plan for sales resource coverage to manage and develop business within specified market segments and geographies.
  • Prepare Business Plans:
    • Report new business development and account activity
    • Knowledge with the use of appropriate tools for planning (like Markelines / IHS and so on)
    • Ability to maintain the Sales Funnel process in Salesforce.com (SF.com)
    • Assist Product Support teams to ensure accurate Forecast
    • The ability to complete the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in the Data Warehouse (DW) system for future inquiries
  • Revenue Achievement:
      1. Accountable for the development and achievement of the approved AOP revenue goals assigned to this function based on planned new business and existing account revenues.
      2. Monitor and report customer production numbers vs. AOP
  • Contract Negotiations
      • Work with customers to negotiate contracts, handle disputes, pricing, delivery, and any issues pertaining to contracts
  • Travel - Travel required up to 80%; within a designated territory. The majority will be domestic with infrequent international travel
  • Perform other duties as related to the job function as required
EDUCATION AND JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 3-5 years experience in a related field:
OEM
Automotive
Consumer Appliance
Robotics
  • Basic knowledge of OEM and Distribution Sales Channels
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth year on year
  • Strong Business Development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Technical Sales or Product experience in the following are preferred
  • Mechanical Bearings
  • Motors
  • Connectors
  • and/or Electronics
  • Computer skills required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM, Salesforce.com preferred.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
No supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
SALARY
At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $85,729.00 and $128,594.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
