Job description

Teamcenter Administrator, with expertise in administering, supporting, and maintaining Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management environments, is responsible for managing Teamcenter deployments, version upgrades, Active Workspace (AWC) administration, Data Center management, and system configurations. Skilled in Bill of Material management, Access Manager, T4S, Easy Plan, Query Builder, and Teamcenter-CAD integrations such as Teamcenter-Creo.
Adept at troubleshooting complex technical issues, performing data extraction and reporting, supporting Rich Client installations, and ensuring system stability through testing and validation activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support business-critical PLM processes and deliver reliable Teamcenter solutions across enterprise environments.
Position Responsibilities may include:
• Administer, support, and maintain Siemens Teamcenter environments.
• Provide L2/L3 support for Teamcenter applications and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Manage and support Active Workspace (AWC) configurations and deployments.
• Plan and execute Teamcenter version upgrades, migrations, and patch installations.
• Maintain and administer Data Center (DC) environments with in-depth technical expertise.
• Manage Teamcenter deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Support BOM (Bill of Materials) Management processes and data structures.
• Configure and manage Teamcenter modules such as:
o Access Manager
o T4S
o Easy Plan
o Query Builder
• Support and maintain Teamcenter-CAD integrations, preferably Teamcenter-Creo, including:
o Attribute mapping
o Data synchronization
o CAD data management
• Participate in testing activities, including system validation, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide user support.

• Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience

• Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments
• Works independently with general supervision
• Problems faced are difficult but not typically complex
Knowledge & Skills:
• Teamcenter administration/support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Active Workspace (AWC).
• Proven experience with Teamcenter upgrades and deployments.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter environment monitoring and performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of Data Center architecture and administration.
• Expertise in BOM Management.
• Good knowledge of:
o Access Manager
o T4S
o Easy Plan
o Query Builder
• Experience with Teamcenter-Creo integration or other Teamcenter-CAD interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Teamcenter data extraction and reporting.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with PLM processes and engineering change management
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels inside and outside the company
• Cross-functional Communication: Ability to translate complex engineering workflows into technical system requirements
• Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving abilities to analyze system issues and optimize enterprise-wide performance
• CAD Integrations: Configures connectors between Teamcenter and major CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Workflow Design: Configures lifecycle states, approval processes, and assignment lists to match business and engineering processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Intermediate Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Skills
• Relationship Management: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a wide variety of people assertively and confidently
Experience:
• 3-5 years of hands-on Product Lifecycle Management experience
• Proficiency in Siemens Teamcenter architecture
• Formal Siemens certified Teamcenter system administrator preferred
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Siemens Teamcenter certified preferred
