Job description

About the Role:
PDC Electric LLC is looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in Tacoma, WA. 
This is a great opportunity to bring your expertise to a company that values quality craftsmanship and takes pride in every project. 
The successful candidate will interact with clients and other contractors on job sites, work collaboratively with PDC’s internal office staff, and train apprentices in the field. This role is expected to independently perform electrical work in industrial environments, including installation of fiber optic cabling and automation systems in industrial facilities. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated problem-solver who can work effectively, maintain positive working relationships with other crew members, and convey a high degree of professionalism when interacting with clients. 

Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings
  • Read, interpret, and redline blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Bend rigid metallic conduit
  • Pull and terminate wire and/or fiber optic cable
  • Inspect and test electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC codes and local regulations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members on job sites
  • Document progress and issues in Procore
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment following OSHA safety standards
Requirements:
  • Valid Washington State Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience
  • Well-rounded electrical experience, including experience with data transmission, ethernet, Profi-net, Canbus, ECAT and other industrial controls and communications systems
  • Experience with industrial automation systems including feeder and branch circuits, servo systems, PLC controllers, VFDs, 480VAC 3-phase, and 24VDC voltage power distribution and layout
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes and local electrical codes
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Knowledge of I/O systems is a plus
