Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Over the Road (OTR) Team Driver and experience the thrill of long-haul freight transportation across diverse routes. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers, dry van, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across the country. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent service will keep our operations running smoothly. This position offers an energetic environment where your driving skills and logistical knowledge will be recognized and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers, and tanker trailers, on OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
  • Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to ensure timely deliveries across multiple states and regions
  • Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance
  • Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, or specialty cargo like automobile transportation or dangerous goods
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any unforeseen issues during transit

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to operate automatic or manual transmission trucks safely over long distances in diverse conditions
  • Prior experience handling logistics cargo including freight loading/unloading and securing loads
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), with endorsements for Hazmat or tanker loads preferred
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for safe trucking practices
