Landscape Maintenance Technician/DriverPosition Summary

Rine Landscape Group is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Technician/Driver to join our residential maintenance team. This position works alongside one (1) to two (2) team members to complete mowing and landscape maintenance services safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards.

The Technician/Driver safely transports team members, equipment, and materials to and from residential job sites; operates commercial-grade mowing and landscape equipment; helps coordinate daily work; and maintains a safe, organized, and professional job site. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Production Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company trucks and truck/trailer combinations.

  • Perform required daily vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections.

  • Ensure equipment and materials are properly loaded, secured, and transported.

  • Maintain clean and organized vehicles, trailers, equipment, and job sites.

  • Help organize daily job assignments and work sequencing to maximize efficiency.

  • Complete assigned work within established budgets and production goals.

  • Ensure work meets company quality standards and client expectations.

  • Help team members follow established equipment operation, safety, and landscape maintenance procedures.

  • Address routine onsite team concerns and communicate significant personnel, performance, or job-site issues to management.

  • Operate commercial-grade landscape maintenance equipment, including zero-turn and walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.

  • Perform mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, bed maintenance, pruning, seasonal cleanups, and enhancement work.

  • Monitor turf and landscape conditions and report concerns to management.

  • Assist with irrigation inspections and report observed deficiencies.

  • Interact professionally with clients, address routine questions, and communicate concerns or requests to management.

  • Complete required paperwork, inspections, and reports accurately and on time.

  • Participate in snow removal operations and safely operate assigned snow removal equipment during the winter months.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional residential landscape maintenance experience, including experience operating commercial-grade mowing equipment

  • Experience driving trucks and trailer combinations

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and a driving record acceptable under the company’s insurance requirements

  • Ability to understand written work instructions and complete required documentation

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently and help guide a small team

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading landscape maintenance teams

  • Experience with route planning and production management

  • Knowledge of turf care and horticultural best practices

  • Experience operating skid steers, stand-on equipment, and compact utility equipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills

  • Ohio pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain one

Physical and Work Requirements
  • Regularly stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, and reach

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds

  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, snow, and wet or humid conditions

  • Work around moving mechanical equipment

  • Work on residential properties where pets and other site-specific conditions may be present
