Coco Key Hotel & Water Resort is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines while providing exceptional service to our guests. This position supports restaurant, banquet, and catering operations throughout the resort.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure all food products are prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout each shift.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Properly store, label, date, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
  • Assist with daily food preparation and station setup prior to service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify supervisors of shortages or quality concerns.
  • Support banquet, catering, and special event food production as needed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries when required.
  • Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
