Job description

WHO WE ARE:

Teague is an independent design consultancy that combines technology expertise with a deep understanding of human behavior to design what's next for companies in automotive, commercial aviation, smart cities and infrastructure, advanced mobility, technology, space, and defense. On any given day, you might be prototyping a new space station, designing cutting-edge technology, or traveling around the world conducting research. We are approaching our one-hundred-year anniversary and are proudly employee-owned. Our culture fosters collaboration, accountability, and stability-because when we succeed, we all win. Come be a part of something bigger than just a job-build your career with an employee-owned company that invests in you!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

A Senior Program Manager at Teague is a strategic partner to executive leadership and clients, owning the success of complex, multi-disciplinary, and multi-year programs from vision through delivery. In this role, you shape program strategy, define success metrics, build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, and anticipate business and industry trends to help position Teague-and our clients-for long-term success.

You'll lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact work on time and within budget, balancing creative excellence with operational rigor. Partnering closely with Creative, Growth, and Finance leaders, you'll forecast revenue, budgets, and resourcing, oversee scopes and risk management, and ensure clarity and accountability across all phases of work. As a hands-on leader and mentor, you'll help elevate program management practices while contributing directly to Teague's growth, client satisfaction, and industry leadership.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:

This role is located in Charleston, South Carolina and may require domestic and international travel of approximately 5-10% to support client, project, and vendor engagements. For Program Managers assigned to the Boeing 787 Program, domestic travel requirements are higher and may range from 20-40%, based on project needs and client engagement schedules.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a strategic, client-focused program leader who thrives at the intersection of design, business, and delivery. You bring a strong ability to translate complex challenges into clear, integrated programs, and you're comfortable partnering with executive leaders and senior client stakeholders as a trusted advisor. You naturally anticipate business and industry trends, using that perspective to shape program roadmaps, guide client conversations, and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

You're an experienced relationship builder who can communicate effectively with both creative and technical teams, as well as with non-technical audiences. You balance rigor with flexibility-bringing structure, financial acumen, and operational discipline without stifling creativity. You understand how to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage scope and risk, and drive accountability across complex engagements, while maintaining focus on long-term client health and business outcomes.

You're also a hands-on leader and mentor, setting clear expectations, and raising the bar for program excellence. With a strong understanding of design and consulting environments-and a curiosity for emerging industry trends-you bring systems-level thinking, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset that helps teams and clients succeed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

OWNING

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and clients, co-defining program vision, success metrics, and long-term business outcomes that align with Teague's growth and design strategy.
  • Own the end-to-end success of multi-disciplinary, multi-year programs-ensuring delivery excellence, profitability, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of projects.
  • Anticipate client and market needs to proactively shape proposals, partnerships, and future opportunities that extend Teague's impact and strengthen relationships.
  • Partner with Finance, Growth, and Creative Leadership to forecast annual revenue, budget, and resourcing needs-informing Teague's broader business planning.
  • Build, deepen, and sustain trusted relationships with senior-level client stakeholders, representing Teague as a strategic advisor and thought leader.
  • Champion program excellence and operational discipline across all phases-from discovery through delivery-ensuring clarity, accountability, and quality across teams and clients.

THINKING

  • Translate complex client challenges into integrated, strategic programs that blend Teague's capabilities across design, technology, and strategy.
  • Evaluate business and industry trends to guide Teague's positioning and identify emerging opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Develop multi-year program roadmaps grounded in client objectives, evolving market dynamics, and measurable business impact.
  • Serve as a thought partner to Creative and Growth leaders, contributing to Teague's approach to client engagement, value creation, and delivery models.
  • Apply systems-level thinking to balance near-term deliverables with long-term client relationship health, operational scalability, and business sustainability.
  • Represent Teague in industry events, conferences, and client forums to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership.

DOING

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact programs on time, within budget, and aligned to client and business goals-balancing rigor, creativity, and agility.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, scopes, estimates, and risk management plans; ensure clarity of deliverables, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Drive accountability through structured program governance, milestone reviews, and transparent communication across clients, teams, and leadership.
  • Mentor and develop program and project managers to grow their strategic, financial, and client-relationship capabilities.
  • Build and maintain scalable program management processes and tools that improve efficiency, visibility, and quality across engagements.
  • Deliver compelling, data-informed presentations and rationales to senior clients, demonstrating measurable impact and return on investment.
  • Meet or exceed annual program and revenue targets, contributing directly to Teague's financial and strategic success.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • 7+ years of account management, project management, or design management experience in creating business solutions from either the creative or consulting point of view to create, maintain, and grow customer relationships, with 3-5 years of team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a project/program strategy and execute that strategy.
  • Experience in high-level, design-integrative business planning and development.
  • A proven track record of successful business development and satisfied clients.
  • Must have a positive reputation for building and maintaining relationships with people at all levels of an organization across a diverse range of cultural, generational, ethnic, racial, educational, and social backgrounds.
  • Understands business operations and can effectively contribute to yearly planning and multi-year program planning.
  • Experience communicating complex, technical information to audiences that do not have a deep technology orientation, as well as ones that do.
  • An understanding of international design culture.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of a design operation, including airlines, aviation or transportation design services.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging trends and practices in the aviation industry.
  • Understanding of plan projects including schedules, priorities, activities, and workload.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen as compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be located or willing to relocate to Seattle, WA.
