Description
The Heart of the Valley YMCA is hiring part-time teachers for our 4-year old kindergarten programs, supporting children as they prepare for school. Assistant teachers support each other for the mornings (6:30am -8:30am) and/or afternoons (3:00pm to 5:00pm)
As a pre-k teacher in our classrooms, you'll support activities that encourage & compliment the already-in-progress learning & development of social skills and healthy living. You'll ensure a safe & impactful program that aligns with the Y's core values, while having fun!
Enjoy an amazing, part-time job with a flexible schedule and an award-winning program. Satellite classrooms with the Kaukauna, Kimberly and Little Chute school districts. Shifts include mornings and afternoons.
Requirements
  • 17 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience working with infants and children is preferred.

Assistant Teacher Positions Possess one or more of following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire:
  • Completion of Introduction to Child Care Professions course
  • At least 2 credits in early childhood education, qualifying coursework
  • Assistant Teacher registry certificate

Lead Teacher Positions Possess one or more of the following or willing to complete within 6-months of hire, in addition to completing Introduction to Child Care Professions:
  • Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher
  • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or education-related.
