Job description

The Teaching Professional will work closely with the General Manager to promote and conduct golf instruction and player development programs to meet the needs/demands for all golfer segments in the local marketplace.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • PGA or LPGA Member preferred
  • Must be a dedicated golf instructor with minimum 1 years related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills
  • Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
  • Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
  • Knowledge of the local market is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market
  • Provides golf instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates and as needed
  • Teaches summer camps as needed
  • Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed
  • Assists in the Supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout
  • Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition
  • Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility’s instructional programs when necessary
  • Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program
  • Perform some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed
  • Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
