JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL TIME
The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology to start in August 2025 to teach biological sciences with an emphasis on molecular biology. Opportunities for leadership are available. We are seeking applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching, advising, mentoring undergraduates in research, and actively participating in various committees within the University.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Full-time faculty members are expected to engage students in research.
  • Evidence of research and scholarly activities is highly desirable.
  • Successful candidates will be required to participate in professional activities that enhance the student learning experience and be willing to be involved in activities assigned by the Department Chair.
  • Responsible for teaching in the following areas: Introductory Biology, Molecular Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or other upper division science courses as assigned by the Department Chair.
  • An ability to teach bioinformatics or biochemistry will be considered a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in any field of Biological or Health Sciences.
EXPERIENCE:
Preference will be given to those with at least two years of experience teaching sciences at a four-year college level.
