The YMCA Dance Teacher is responsible for planning and leading safe, engaging, and age-appropriate dance classes that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Dance Teacher creates a positive environment where participants can build confidence, develop dance skills, and express creativity while embodying the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Requirements:Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and instruct dance classes for participants of various ages and skill levels.
- Choreograph and Plan Dance Routines
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and YMCA staff.
- Plan and execute annual dance recital.
- Ensure dance spaces and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Uphold YMCA policies, procedures, and risk management standards.
- Serve as a positive role model for participants and families.
