Job description

Full Time Day or Evening Shift(2:30pm-1am), Rotating Weekends, not major holidays. $2.50/hr additional shift differential for evening shift.ย  ย 

Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory or leadership experience and experience working in emergency veterinary medicine. We are looking for applicants who want to increase their knowledge and skills to grow professionally, who thrive in a fast paced and challenging environment, and love teaching in a positive, patient and dynamic manner.

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching and performance evaluation process for all ECCย  Service Staff.

โ€ข Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records for Inpatient Service Staff.

โ€ข Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train member of the ECC team.

โ€ข Assist clinicians in triaging, stabilizing, and providing high quality nursing care to patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.

Along with working at the most prestigious veterinary teaching hospitals in the country, we have a very strong, competitive salary - which is commensurate with education and experience. Compensation:

Starting at $35-$39 hourly, VTS starting at $43/hr.

MSPCA-Angell West, a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite hospital in the west suburbs of Boston, was opened in early 2014 by Angell Animal Medical Center. Our hospital is over 20,000 square feet, and is located 10 miles west of Boston in Waltham.
