Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity awaits professionals committed to supporting students who are visually impaired. This contract-based position is seeking an onsite Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026-2027 academic year, located near Hamilton, GA. The role will run from early August 2026 through late May 2027, with some potential planning days at the start and end of the assignment. Full-time hours are available, though those desiring part-time schedules may be considered based on district needs.

As a TVI, you’ll have an active role in collaborating with the district to determine the best placement for you based on your experience and age-group preferences. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining daily service logs to accurately document your professional impact.

Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience teaching in school settings with visually impaired students is preferred
