QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school graduate
  2. Preferably college experience
  3. Experience working with children
  4. Must be able to lift 30 pounds
ย ย  ย ย ย ย  REPORTS TO: Teacher(s) assigned CONFERS WITH: Teacher(s), Specialists, and Building Administrator JOB GOAL: To implement instructional activities and programs as directed ย ย ย ย  PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Work with students individually, in small groups, or in large groups as necessary and as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
    1. Classroom and Support Assistants: Usually work with students in the general school population.
    2. Special Education Assistants: Usually work with students with identified special needs, or who require additional educational assistance as defined in an individual education plan (IEP). Assistants provide support in the appropriate educational setting.
  2. Demonstrate a continuous sensitivity to the needs of children to whom they are assigned.
  3. Carry out instructional or developmental activities suggested by the teacher, specialist, or others designated by the building administrator.
  4. Maintain competency and skills through a variety of available offerings.
  5. Educational Assistants may be responsible for personal care needs of student(s)
  6. Educational Assistants may be expected to obtain and maintain CPI (Non Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
  7. Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  To be established by the school board by August 20th.
2025-2026 HOURLY SALARY:ย  ย  ย  ย  $18.81 plus $1.00 for a certification from the NH Department of Education as a paraeducator II or as a teacher.
