We are hiring substitutes in Hayfield Community Schools. No previous experience is required!

Minimum requirements:

Substitute Teacher:

  • At least 18 years of age AND
  • Holds an MN Tiered or Short Call Substitute License OR
  • Holds a bachelor's degree and is willing to apply for the Short Call Substitute License

Substitute Paraeducator:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Holds a high school diploma
  • *If interested in Special Education Assignments you must either have 60+ completed college credits OR a passing score on the ParaPro/ParaEducator Exam.*

· Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

· Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

· For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
