Global Asset Servicing - Corporate Actions Overview
  • Manage daily Corporate Action Events across multiple fixed income products.
  • Familiarity with DTC, Euroclear and foreign depository clearance, settlements, and Asset Servicing.
  • Knowledge of new bond issues, changes in terms and conditions to the indentures, details, and calculations of interest for P&I, fixed and floating rate issues, bankruptcies, liquidations, defaults, consents, conversions, full and partial calls, and maturities.
  • Responsible for processing Corporate Actions from trade date to settlement date including fails management over the complete event.
  • Manage proxy services including voting submissions and the production of Completion Notice of Individual Shareholder Reporting and Letters of Representation for global markets.
  • Interact with operations groups globally to provide industry leading client service to external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Internal and external clients while developing relationships with colleagues across TDS Global Operations and Business Services.

The Global Asset Servicing Corporate Actions team is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and timely processing of all corporate actions as well as maintaining the multiple security masters (cross platform).
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Asset Servicing event creation in proprietary systems.
  • Perform day-to-day processing and reconciliation of all Corporate Action Events.
  • Serve as proxy lead for global corporate actions team
  • Identification, escalation, and resolution of corporate action issues understanding while working against critical deadlines.
  • Processing ad-hoc bond conversion requests on 144A/REGS securities.
  • Working with external brokers to process events on Repo / Stock Loan positions and settle claims.
  • Respond to both internal and external inquiries expeditiously.
  • Working in a dynamic environment; leverage expertise in key areas to deliver a superior work product.
  • Partner with technology to development, implement and refine systems and processes.
  • Provide management feedback on custodian and vendor performance.
  • Support the delivery and monitoring of daily outputs and critical tasks.
  • Efficiently maintain documentation for regulatory, compliance, and audit purposes.
  • Drive new business initiatives and pursue automations in support of STP (straight through processing).

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in Asset Servicing Operations.
  • Can collaborate with and encourage other team members in the pursuit of operational excellence.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline sensitive environment.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable in a complex role interfacing with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivots, macros, etc.).
  • Proven risk management skills, fostering a zero-tolerance policy for poor management practices.
  • Broadridge NAPE experience is preferred
  • Strong front-to-back ownership mentality
  • Adept at multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing/conflicting priorities.

The Operations Analyst/Specialist II TDS coordinates and executes projects primarily focused on the continuous improvement of Operations and/or the attainment of organizational objectives. The Operations Analyst/Specialist II TDS assists Operations management in identifying opportunities for process improvements, analyzes options (including software, workflow changes, training needs, and procedure modification), and presents recommendations and implements change.
Depth & Scope:
  • Performs more complex operational analysis within the Loss Analytics department
  • Works independently and works with the Management team in making decisions on policy and procedure changes
  • Develops recommendation and coordinates the implementation of new procedures
  • Disseminates analyzed findings and makes recommendations to Management pertaining to system configurations and/or process changes
  • Manages through to completion on assigned projects including identifying project requirements, gathering information, developing an approach, executing the project and ensuring communication occurs across functional areas
  • Projects could involve standardization, conversion, productivity, service quality or other strategic issues or documentation related to these areas
  • Leads capacity analysis for Fraud software to determine appropriate staffing levels
  • Collects and analyzes pertinent information and data pertaining to fraud committed against TD Bank
  • Conducts detailed statistical analysis involving fraud loss and check card data and correlate to Fraud Management applications/processes to determine department effectiveness
  • Completes ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from Management including data collection
  • Considered a subject matter expert for Operations processes and acts as a resource for resolving technical or operational issues
  • Conducts capacity analysis for Fraud software to determine appropriate staffing levels

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
