Job Description:
Associates in our CIB Credit groups are involved with the structuring, execution and monitoring of debt transactions (e.g. corporate revolvers, term loans, bridge loans and acquisition financing) from inception through closing. Working with clients across the oil and gas spectrum, spanning upstream, midstream, downstream, oilfield services, chemicals, as well as renewables, you will gain exposure to different business models and industry dynamics in the US market.
In this capacity you will:
• Analyze deal structures and terms and assist with deal negotiations and documentation;
• Analyze the engineering data of oil and gas producers, and develop reserve models to evaluate company assets and determine debt capacity and appropriate capital structures;
• Create detailed models to project clients' future cash flows and credit ratios;
• Gather and analyze trends in qualitative and quantitative data such as oil & gas price dynamics, oil & gas producer cost structures, midstream takeaway capacity, and the impact of commodity prices and oil & gas production levels on midstream and refining clients;
• Spread and monitor clients' historical financial performance;
• Prepare and present credit recommendations for new and existing energy clients;
• Compile data through due diligence and prepare comprehensive credit reviews that analyze transactions and client risks; and
• Prepare client presentations.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree preferably in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics with a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and strong attention to detail. At least 4-5 years of corporate credit experience in a portfolio management, underwriting, or corporate banking role in Energy. Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and company / industry analysis. A successful candidate is a self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced work environment, and is an effective team player.
