Job description

Region Head, Toronto Core & Atlantic, Private Wealth Management

Pay: $155,000 - $215,000 CAD (variable compensation award based on business & individual performance)

Part of the TD Bank Group, TD Wealth Private Wealth Management (TDW) provides a comprehensive range of wealth management services to high‑net‑worth clients with complex needs. This role reports directly to the Head of Distribution, Private Wealth Management and is a key leadership position on the Private Wealth Management Senior Executive team.

Role Accountabilities
  • Provide overall sales leadership for the region, translating strategy into actionable delivery.
  • Develop and sustain a high‑performance sales culture.
  • Lead Branch Managers and Market Managers in developing and executing regional business plans.
  • Drive operational performance, talent management strategy, and business development while ensuring compliance oversight.
  • Contribute to overall business results by developing and executing an annual regional business and operating plan consistent with PWM strategy.
  • Build and maintain productive partnerships across TD Wealth and TD Bank.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing teams, providing objective‑setting, feedback, and performance assessment.
  • Coach executive talent and maintain a succession plan for key regional roles.
  • Promote the TDW PWM brand through industry groups, public speaking, and media appearances.
  • Support TD Bank Group‑sponsored activities and local community events.
  • Oversee negotiation and resolution of significant client issues with ombudsmen, regulators, and industry bodies.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on compliance, risk management, audit policies, and deliver satisfactory audit results.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7‑10 years of distribution leadership experience, including branch and sales management.
  • Ready to travel across Canadian regions as required.
  • Track record of recruiting, acquiring, growing, and retaining top talent, promoting diversity and inclusion, building partnerships, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to serve as strategist, change agent, and advocate, balancing business realities, regulatory expectations, and best practices.
  • Experience in a large financial institution with collaborative cross‑functional engagement.
  • Strong resilience under pressure and adaptability in evolving and ambiguous environments.
  • Proven ability to drive results and foster accountability and ownership.
  • Excellent time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient influencing skills, strong written and verbal communication.
  • Undergraduate degree or related post‑secondary education.
  • Current registration with IIROC as a Registered Representative and Supervisor and/or PDO.
