Job description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader - we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.
Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work - every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.
Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers - and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.
Who We Are
At TCGplayer, seller growth and expansion of the marketplace are inseparable. Our seller expansion group operates as a structured, determined seller success engine built to accelerate GMV. It also strengthens retention and improves seller sentiment across every tier of the market.
We have evolved over the years from program-based engagement to dedicated portfolio ownership. This shift ensures consistent coverage, measurable impact, and a unified seller experience built on proactive partnership, operational clarity, and data-informed execution.
As an Account Manager passionate about the Pre-Professional cohort, you will play a substantial role in fueling the next generation of Professional sellers. You will manage a defined scouting and growth pipeline of high-potential Pre-Pro sellers. You will identify those ready to scale and support them through structured growth plays. These plays encourage adoption, retention, and graduation into higher-value tiers.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:30AM - 5:00PM EST.
EST hours required, regardless of location.
What you will accomplish:
As an Account Manager on the Seller Growth team, you'll operate as both strategist and mentor: driving adoption, building confidence, and opening pathways for sellers to grow into managed Professional accounts. You'll blend proactive outreach, data insights, and personalized enablement to move sellers forward in measurable ways.
  • Drive proactive engagement to discover and manage a targeted portfolio of high-potential Pre-Professional sellers.
  • Establish relationships with Pre-Professional sellers via GAP and guide them through their transition into the Professional tier.
  • Complete outreach and onboarding campaigns that drive adoption of programs like TCGplayer Pro, Direct and all new products.
  • Track seller readiness, progress, and graduation outcomes through accurate CRM logging and data insights.
  • Partner with Seller Marketing and RevOps to optimize campaign performance and seller communication flows.
  • Give feedback to refine the Pro-Feeder playbook and ensure streamlined seller transitions.

Additional Impacts
  • Support a projected 30 % annual cohort expansion by moving qualified sellers into Professional and Enterprise tiers.
  • Champion seller experience and trust by delivering proactive communication and consistent follow-up.
  • Model the balance of human compassion and data-powered efficiency
  • Maintain data integrity to ensure that every interaction contributes to our collective seller intelligence and marketplace growth.

What you will bring:
  • Experience in sales, client relationship management, or customer success within a marketplace or SaaS environment
  • Validated ability to identify and cultivate emerging customer potential.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills - able to influence sellers and inspire confidence.
  • Data fluency: comfortable using dashboards, CRM, and insights to drive daily prioritization.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic workstreams with shifting growth goals.
  • Ownership mentality - you treat your patch like your business and are accountable for the outcomes.
  • Energy, curiosity, and a genuine passion for helping small sellers' scale.

Required Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in customer success, account management, or portfolio growth roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving retention, adoption, and revenue growth in a SaaS or marketplace.
  • Experience with HubSpot, G Suite, Tableau, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Experience in ecommerce or hobby/gaming industries.
  • Domain expertise within the TCGplayer platform
