Prep Cooks

The Granite Grill in Richmond, Virginia, is hiring part-time and full-time prep cooks to join the opening kitchen team of this highly anticipated, new full-service restaurant! We are looking for dedicated, organized, and efficient culinary professionals who are passionate about food preparation and enjoy being part of a fast-paced kitchen environment. Prep cooks will receive training on our kitchen procedures, ingredient specifications, and company standards to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional dishes to our guests. The opening of the restaurant is targeted for late October.

Prep cooks play a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly by:

  • Prepping ingredients for all menu items
  • Following recipes and standards to ensure consistency in every dish
  • Organizing and maintaining the prep area to ensure efficiency and cleanliness
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste
  • Ensuring all food safety and cleanliness guidelines are followed to the highest standards
  • Maintaining a steady pace to ensure all prep is completed prior to service

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work at least 3 shift per week
  • Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
  • Must be 18 years of age, able to lift up to 30lbs, and able to stand/move about the kitchen for the duration of the shift
