What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Tax Support professional?

To thrive as a Tax Support professional, you need a solid understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and strong problem-solving abilities, often supported by a degree in accounting or finance. Familiarity with tax preparation software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sometimes relevant certifications like the IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) can be crucial. Many teams employ collaborative tools and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and accurate support, which helps maintain a positive client experience even during the busiest periods.
