Associate Attorney – Tax

Direct Counsel is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm. This position offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated tax practice advising clients on complex transactions across multiple industries.

Locations:
Chicago, Colorado, New York, Palo Alto, San Diego, Santa Monica, Washington, D.C.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–5 years of experience advising on some combination of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, motivation, and initiative

  • Excellent client relations skills with experience managing multiple concurrent matters

  • A high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school

  • An LL.M. in Taxation is preferred, but not required

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected annual salary range: $260,000–$365,000, depending on experience, skill set, and location
