Role Description We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will play a key role in architecting systems, implementing back-end services, conducting code reviews, and optimizing performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.

Requirements

I Important Requirement Because this position supports a Federal Contract, all employees assigned to this contract must be U.S. citizens; a person born or naturalized in the United States. A naturalized citizen can prove their citizenship with their original Certificate of Naturalization or a valid U.S. Passport, both of which are primary documents.Your employment is contingent upon successful approval by FEMA officials, which includes a federal background check that includes financial records and the ability to obtain a federal badge. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable system architecture
  • Implement and maintain back-end services
  • Write, test, and review clean, efficient code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated software solutions

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, Software Development, and Programming, with emphasis on Laravel PHP
  • Experience with Relational Databases (MySQL preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Laravel queues
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
  • Experience in AWS using CloudFormation is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting range: $70,000 - $150,000; Based on experience
