Job description

The NISC IV group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Manager to work in our Oklahoma City, OK office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the National Airspace System (NAS) Second Level Engineering group.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide support for a large project to include planning and scheduling in support of implementation, deployment, scheduling, and resource planning. This position requires outreach to multiple organizations to ensure solutions are identified and approved for use in the NAS, additionally, that schedules align across organizations to meet programmatic goals

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Provide support and be responsible for planning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives. Duties may include ensuring that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints. This position also interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, if applicable, and support personnel. Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes within a professional area. Responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Develops solutions to problems and issues that are unclear and require thorough analyses and understanding of domain knowledge. Communicates with internal and client project team members. Works to influence team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. Come to the table with full understanding of concepts, principles and industry practices within own discipline. Has deep understanding of industry practices and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of working experience. In lieu of degree program, Leidos will accept additional years of experience.
  • Previous working experience with managing projects
  • Able to receive and maintain a public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred to have a PMP Certification or a firm understanding of PM concepts as well as previous FAA experience.
