Job description

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (Deputy PM) to support the Program Manager in executing and growing the Acquisition Logistics Support Services (ALSS) IDIQ contract portfolio in direct support of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program & Task Order Management
    • Support the Program Manager in overseeing performance across all active ALSS IDIQ task orders, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and contract requirements are met.
    • Serve as Acting Program Manager in the absence of the PM, maintaining continuity of portfolio operations.
    • Monitor task order status, performance metrics, and risk indicators; escalate issues proactively and develop mitigation plans.
    • Coordinate task order activities across geographically dispersed teams and functional leads.
    • Support transition in activities for new task order awards, including staffing coordination, kick-off planning, and development of presentations and briefing materials.
  • Financial Oversight & Reporting
    • Support development and maintenance of financial tracking tools, budget burn rate analyses, and IDIQ ceiling utilization dashboards.
    • Monitor task order funding against obligated amounts; identify and communicate funding risks to PM and Senior Leadership.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and funding rolls ups for internal and customer submission.
    • Support cost control activities including labor hour tracking and subcontractor invoice review.
  • Personnel & Staffing Coordination:

    • Coordinate with the PM and HR to support recruitment, onboarding, and personnel management activities across the task orders.

    • Assist in managing personnel rosters, labor category alignments, and reporting requirements.

    • Participate in interviews for task order personnel, as required.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies:

  • 5+ years of relevant Project Management (PM) experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in federal contract program or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent task orders under a single IDIQ.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/U.S. Coast Guard programs is strongly preferred.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in project management, business administration, or a related field (Desired, but not required); OR
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Assistant in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
